Sharing: Piedmont Park Arts Festival

Erykah Badu for AFROPUNK Artist Collection

What does art mean to you? To me, it means a great deal. It is a beautiful form of communication, a way to express feelings, thoughts and observations. What I love most about art, is the honesty. It’s what I love most about toddlers… what you see, is what you get, it is what it is. An artist bares their soul to share with the world.

I love arts festivals and any chance I get to go, I’m there! I attended the Piedmont Park Arts Festival, Saturday, August 19th and I had a fabulous time. If you’ve been here in Atlanta a while, I’m sure you have attended this festival. But for my newbies to the A, please make it your business to attend the next one. This event featured 250 painters, photographers, sculptors, metalwork artisans, jewelers and crafters. There’s absolutely something for everyone- have a picnic and listen to live music, bring the kids & enjoy the children’s play area, food trucks and artist demonstrations. It was a gorgeous day and I truly enjoyed artists baring their souls!
