I know, I know! No one is ready to start talking about Thanksgiving and Christmas, but it’s here! For many of us, the thought of Thanksgiving & Christmas comes with mixed feelings: joy for some & thoughts of inconvenience- not being ready to travel (airports & driving), preparing for guests, seeing family you’re not so fond of 🙂 or buying gifts. For others, there’s anxiety & pain of not having enough food, no money, no place to stay or call home. Given the two choices, I’m sure most of us would much rather deal with airports and out of town guests. So Atlanta, I’m asking that we embrace the spirit of Thanksgiving and show gratitude for our blessings by giving to those who are less fortunate. If you have this in mind or this is a part of your tradition…great and thank you from the bottom of my heart!
I know it is hard to find time to volunteer your time when you have kids, working full time and everything else that goes on in your busy lives. So to make it a little easier for you to give back, I wanted to share some information about Ga Gives 2017 (November 28th). This annual campaign invites all Georgia nonprofits to raise funds, gain new supporters, and raise awareness through one 24-hour state-wide marathon of giving. This brings together thousands of the state’s charities on one online donation platform.
So let’s join in on this day and give whatever you can, to an organization of your choice. This will be Georgia’s biggest day of giving! Remember November 28th, #GivingTuesday https://www.gagives.org/c/GGD/
Thank you Atlanta, Peace & Blessings!
